I didn't have a great unweightedFeb 03 2015Other
I didn't have a great unweighted GPA (somewhere around a 3). I got a 1990 on the SAT and took a bunch of AP classes. Although I didn't do well in all of my AP classes, I think taking them helped me out. I had some extracurriculars and a unique sort of life story which both likely helped me. I applied regular decision, although I should have applied early action. Feel free to contact me for admission advice! I know it's really stressful.

Had a 3.8May 02 2014Civil Engineering
Had a 3.8 GPA and average SAT scores with a lot of extracurriculars. Just do well in high school and you should be fine.

Just get goodAug 19 2013History/Histories (art history/etc.)
Just get good grades. Make sure you also pay attention to your emails and make sure you read the instructions to all applications and forms. Otherwise they like to screw you on technicalities and you may as well have not even sent anything in at all.

Very, VERY involved in high school extracurricularsJul 24 2013Business - Management and Administration
Very, VERY involved in high school extracurriculars. Held various leadership positions in and out of school environment. Perfect GPA of 4.00. I worked hard in high school and that's what got me into the Honors College (which is a GREAT program by the way)!
ACT: 30 SAT: 2000 Female
I transferred with a 3Feb 20 2013Chemistry
I transferred with a 3.7 GPA which is way above the 2.5 GPA GMU requires... I was accepted within a month of applying... That should tell you a lot lol. This school should be a backup plan, by no means should this be the number 1 school to go to if you are a bright student. To experience the college life just save your time and go to another college. GMU is just a glorified community college, nothing special. You will be wasting your time here if you want the true college life.
